Vanilla powder

Pure vanilla powder is a popular addition for baking that offers an alternative to vanilla extract, which is made with alcohol, as it holds the flavour in baking since the powder does not evaporate in the heat of the oven.
We grind Grade-C vanilla bean cuts to produce vanilla powder. The vanillin percentage of cuts and powder is lower than Grade-A and Grade-B because the vanilla must be dry enough to grind and the active vanillin properties evaporate in the drying process. A laboratory analysis was completed independently by PRULAB in Sambava on 10 March 2021.

As with Grade-C, vanilla powder is suitable for food processing, drinks, adding flavour to protein shakes etc. And it's equally suitable for home-baking and can be used on chocolate cookies, doughnuts, waffles, mixed with sugar, cacao powder and sprinkled on cappuccinos.
