Madagascar cinnamon harvest 2021

Our cinnamon is harvested in the Atsinanana region on the east coast of Madagascar with our latest crop having been harvested between February and April 2021.

The type and quality cinnamon is the True Ceylon variety, named after Ceylon (Sri Lanka) where the cinnamon tree originates before it was introduced to Madagascar. The cinnamon bark of this evergreen tree is harvested between December and April. The cinnamon sticks are 20 cm in length with a diameter of between 2 and 3 cm and have an intense yet subtle fragrance with a sweet and citrusy taste that is to be expected from True cinnamon.
